HAL Signs Contract for Procurement of 12 Su-30 MKI Aircraft Worth Rs. 13,500 Crore

In a significant development for the Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative, a contract for procurement of 12 Su-30MKI aircraft along with associated equipment has been signed between the Ministry of Defence and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL). The contract, valued at approximately Rs. 13,500 Crore inclusive of taxes and duties, will see an indigenous content of 62.6%. The aircraft will be manufactured at the Nasik division of HAL, enhancing the operational capability of the Indian Air Force and strengthening the country's defense preparedness.
