Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd yet to receive official communication on 114 Rafale deal

In response to a news article in the 'Times of India' dated 13 February, 2026, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has clarified that they have not received any official communication from the Ministry of Defence or Dassault regarding the procurement of 114 Rafale multi-role fighters. The article suggested that 20 of these fighters would be bought in fly-away condition and added to the IAF fleet by 2030, with the rest being manufactured in India through a Dassault-HAL collaboration.
