HPCL and Oil India Limited Sign MoU for Compressed Bio-Gas Project at India Energy Week 2026

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Oil India Limited (OIL) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at India Energy Week (IEW) 2026 to collaborate on the development of a Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) project. The MoU provides a framework for joint efforts aimed at promoting cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions. OIL will implement a CBG plant using HPCL’’s indigenously developed HP RAMP technology, while HPCL will provide the requisite technology for efficient conversion of waste into compressed bio-gas. The collaboration highlights the commitment of both public sector undertakings to clean energy and waste-to-energy initiatives, aligning with India’s energy transition objectives.
