HUDCO Signs MoUs with Sagarmala Finance Corporation and Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port for Joint Financing in Maritime Sector

HUDCO, a Navratna CPSE, has signed non-binding MoUs on 29.10.2025 under India Maritime Week- 2025. The first MoU is with Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (SMFCL) to explore collaboration for joint financing in various areas such as maritime and coastal infrastructure projects, development of inland water transport infrastructure, renewable and green energy initiatives, support for shipbuilding and ship repair infrastructure, and development of logistics and multi-modal infrastructure. The overall cost estimate for the collaborative projects will be approximately Rs. 80,000 Crore during the entire period of MoU. The second MoU is with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata (SMPA), for cooperation in development, modernization, and upgradation of port and allied infrastructure projects and organizing joint conferences/workshops for capacity and capability building. The proposed collaboration aims to cover the development, modernization, and upgradation of port and allied infrastructure projects of SMPA and organizing joint conferences/workshops for capacity and capability building of both the organizations.
