India Glycols Files Claim for ₹79.76 Cr Against New India Assurance

India Glycols Ltd has filed an application for Pre-Institution Mediation and Settlement with the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee to recover ₹79.76 crore from The New India Assurance Co. Limited. The claim relates to the rejection of an insurance claim filed by India Glycols in 2020 for damages at its Kashipur plant. Despite repeated representations, the insurance company repudiated the claim. India Glycols, based on legal advice, believes it has a strong case and is pursuing recovery of the claim amount, including interest.
