IndiGo Signs MoU with Airbus to Double Wide-Body Order to 60 A350-900 Aircraft

IndiGo, India's most preferred airline, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Airbus to enlarge its wide-body aircraft order from 30 to 60 A350-900 aircraft. This move is a strategic step towards the airline's international expansion and will enable IndiGo to spread its wings further and expand its long-haul international network. The deliveries of the original order are expected to start in 2027. This will provide more travel options for IndiGo customers to new international destinations and enable more flights to the hubs of its partner airlines. The A350-900 aircraft will be powered by Rolls Royce’s Trent XWB engine.
