JK Cement Launches L-3 Cement, Reducing CO2 Emissions by 40%

JK Cement Ltd. has started commercial production and dispatch of Portland Calcined Clay Limestone Cement (LC-3) at JK Cement Works, Mangrol, in the Rajasthan State of India. This is the first such launch in the Indian subcontinent. LC-3 reduces CO2 emissions by up to 40% compared to Ordinary Portland Cement, aligning with the company's commitment to sustainability and climate-conscious construction practices. The LC-3, certified by BIS, is targeted to serve marquee infrastructure projects in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and other parts of India. The unique material composition of LC-3 includes Clinker-50%, Calcined-30%, and Limestone-15%. This launch is expected to benefit the company financially in the long run.
