JSW Energy Commissions 261 MW of Renewable Energy Capacity, Increasing Installed Capacity to 12.8 GW

JSW Energy Ltd has successfully commissioned 261 MW of renewable energy capacity, taking the installed capacity to 12,760 MW. The new capacity includes 189 MW of solar and 72 MW of wind energy. This addition brings the cumulative capacity addition during Q1 FY26 to 1.9 GW and increases the share of renewables in the overall capacity to 56%. The new capacity is expected to contribute significantly to the overall renewable output during the peak renewable generation season. JSW Energy has a total locked-in generation capacity of 29.9 GW and aims to reach 30 GW generation capacity and 40 GWh of energy storage capacity by FY 2030. The company has set an ambitious target of achieving Carbon Neutrality by 2050.
