JSW Steel & JFE Steel unveil new JV: JSW JFE Steel Ltd
JSW Steel and Japan’s JFE Steel Corporation officially unveiled their 50:50 Joint Venture, JSW JFE Steel Limited, at a ceremony in Sambalpur, Odisha. This new entity will encompass integrated steel operations in Sambalpur. The event also celebrated 15 years of the JSW–JFE strategic alliance. JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal stated the JV combines JSW’s operational excellence with JFE’s world-class technological expertise to define sustainable steelmaking in India. JFE Holdings President & CEO Yoshihisa Kitano expressed confidence that the JV will deliver value to shareholders and contribute to India’s industrial development. The plant is strategically located with access to infrastructure and iron ore, ensuring raw material security and cost competitiveness. It manufactures a range of flat and long steel products for automotive, infrastructure, construction, and capital goods sectors.
