NCLT Sanctions Piombino Steel Amalgamation with JSW Steel

JSW Steel Limited has received sanction from the Hon'ble National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai Bench, for the Scheme of Amalgamation of Piombino Steel Limited with JSW Steel Limited. The NCLT pronounced its order on October 16, 2026. The amalgamation will become effective upon the filing of the certified order with the Registrar of Companies, Mumbai. JSW Steel will inform the stock exchanges once the effective date is established. Piombino Steel Limited, incorporated in 2018, is engaged in steel and allied products trading, while JSW Steel Limited, incorporated in 1994, is a listed entity involved in steel manufacturing.
