Kaynes Semicon Delivers India’s First Manufactured IPM Multi-Chip Module from Sanand
Kaynes Semicon Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary Company of Kaynes Technology India Limited, has rolled out and shipped 900 Multi-Chip Modules (MCMs) — the Intelligent Power Module (IPM5) — from its world-class OSAT facility in Sanand. This marks India’s first commercially manufactured MCM, realized under the India Semiconductor Mission 1.0 and delivered to Alpha & Omega Semiconductor (AOS), a global leader in power semiconductors based in Sunnyvale, USA. The IPM module, or Intelligent Power Module, is a semiconductor device that integrates power switching elements with their corresponding drive and protection circuits into a single, compact package to simplify motor control and other power applications. The delivery marks the start of commercial production for AOS, with full mass production aimed for January 2026.
