Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited Commissions Second Phase of 69 MW Solar Plant, Reducing Power Costs

Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Limited (KFIL), a listed material subsidiary of Kirloskar Industries Ltd, has completed the installation and commissioning of the second phase of a 69 MW DC solar plant. The plant, located at Mantha, Helas, Jalna 431504, Maharashtra, was initially commissioned with a capacity of 35 MW DC on July 1, 2024. The second phase, with an additional capacity of 69 MW DC, became operational on January 31, 2025. The project cost, around ₹ 270 Crores (net of recoverable taxes), has been financed through internal accruals. The operations of the solar plant will contribute to the company's sustainability efforts and reduce power costs.
