Kothari Industrial Corporation Ltd Partners with Accademia IUAD to Build Design-Led Talent and Establish a University for Design in India

Kothari Industrial Corporation Limited (KICL) has announced a strategic industry-academia collaboration with Accademia IUAD, Italy’s leading fashion and design institution. The partnership aims to strengthen India’s design, innovation, and creative talent ecosystem and advance plans to establish a University for Design in India, with Tamil Nadu as the principal campus. The collaboration is expected to contribute academic frameworks, contemporary curricula, and international best practices from Accademia IUAD and leverage KICL’s infrastructure, industrial ecosystem, and execution capabilities. The proposed institution will focus on footwear design, fashion management and communication, leather goods and accessories design, interior and furniture design, and allied design disciplines.
