Lords Mark gets India's first SaMD license for Biomescan Platform

Lord's Mark Industries Limited has secured India's first manufacturing license for an In Vitro Diagnostic Software (Software as a Medical Device – SaMD) for its Biomescan Analytics Platform. This license, granted under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017, enables the company to bring gut microbiome science into mainstream preventive healthcare. The Biomescan platform analyzes whole metagenome sequencing data to provide personalized gut microbiome profiles and dietary recommendations. The company plans to establish a nationwide network of Health & Wellness Centres in collaboration with healthcare institutions to offer these personalized preventive care strategies.
