Laurus Labs: 2 New Independent Directors, €9.8M JV Investment, Subsidiary Closure

Laurus Labs' Board of Directors, at their meeting on April 30, 2026, approved several key decisions. The company will appoint Dr. Shekhar Chintamani Mande and Ms. Sutapa Banerjee as Independent Directors for five-year terms starting July 2, 2026. Concurrently, Mrs. Aruna Bhinge will retire as an Independent Director on July 6, 2026, after completing her second term. The Board also approved an investment of up to EURO 9.8 million in KRKA Pharma Private Limited, a joint venture, to fund its capex for a new manufacturing facility, maintaining the 51:49 shareholding ratio with KRKA d.d., Novo mesto. Additionally, the voluntary closure of Laurus Generics GmbH (Germany), a non-material step-down wholly-owned subsidiary with nil turnover, was approved, which is not expected to have a material financial impact.
