LT Foods invests Rs. 6 crore to strengthen regional rice supply chain in Karnataka

LT Foods Ltd, a leading billion-dollar global FMCG company, has announced a new manufacturing facility in Raichur, Karnataka, for regional rice varieties, including Sona Masoori and Kolam. The facility will have an initial estimated production capacity of 30,000 metric tonnes per annum and is expected to commence commercial production around February 2, 2026. The project entails an estimated capital expenditure of Rs. 6 crore, which will be funded through internal accruals. The move is a strategic step in strengthening LT Foods' regional rice business in India, catering to the consistent demand for regional varieties.
