
Manali Petrochemicals Resumes Plant-1 Operations After Propylene Supply Resumption
Manali Petrochemicals Limited has announced the resumption of operations at its Plant-1 in Manali, Chennai. The plant was temporarily suspended on March 12, 2026, due to a complete cessation of propylene supply from Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL), a Force Majeure event. Following a revised Office Memorandum from the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Government of India, a fixed daily allocation of propylene has been granted to Manali Petrochemicals, to be supplied by CPCL. The company will commence the restart process immediately, with operations expected to resume in a phased manner. The Force Majeure condition is considered resolved to the extent of this allocation, and normal production is anticipated soon. Operations at Plant-2 remain unaffected.
