Minda Instruments Gets Govt Nod for Display Modules
Minda Instruments Limited, a subsidiary of Minda Corporation, has received government approval under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) to manufacture Display Module Sub-Assemblies. This approval positions Minda as one of only two companies nationwide cleared for this critical component, which India has largely imported. The new facility will be a greenfield project for TFT display module assembly, supporting the company's backward integration strategy and reducing reliance on imports. This move is expected to shorten supply chains and mitigate risks associated with global shortages. The government's approval is part of a larger ₹7,877 crore tranche for ECMS, bringing the total investment to over ₹69,500 crore.
