Modern Engineering Appoints Abhijit Jayant Deshpande as Independent Director

Modern Engineering and Projects Ltd has announced the appointment of Mr. Abhijit Jayant Deshpande as an Additional Director in the capacity of Non-Executive, Independent Director. This appointment, approved by shareholders via Special Resolution on August 8, 2026, is effective from May 12, 2026, for a term of five consecutive years. Mr. Deshpande brings over 35 years of experience in the power sector, including roles at Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited and as Secretary of the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission. He is not related to any existing directors and is not debarred from holding directorships by any regulatory authority.
