Motilal Oswal Subsidiary Gets SEBI Custodian License

Motilal Oswal Financial Services Limited's wholly-owned subsidiary, Motilal Oswal Custodial Services Private Limited (MOCSPL), has received approval from SEBI to act as a Custodian of Securities. This license enables MOCSPL to offer safekeeping of securities, trade settlement, corporate action processing, and regulatory reporting for institutional clients. The business expansion is expected to deepen the group's institutional franchise, which already includes equities, wealth management, asset management, and investment banking. Operations are slated to commence in the last quarter of 2026, subject to operational readiness.
