MRF Ltd Wins Appeal Against GST and Central Excise Duty Demand of Rs 221.31 Crores

MRF Ltd has won an appeal against a duty demand of Rs 221.31 Crores by the Commissioner of Goods and Service Tax and Central Excise, Chennai. The dispute was regarding the valuation of goods, and the Order-in-Original No. 26/2023 dated 31.05.2023 was challenged before the Hon'ble Customs, Excise and Service Tax Appellate Tribunal (CESTAT), Chennai. The matter was heard on 16.03.2026, and as per the CESTAT's Chennai Final Order No. 40364/2026, the appeal stands allowed with consequential relief in favour of MRF Limited.
