
Umiya Buildcon Launches Indigenously Developed 1G Switches with 65% Local Content
Umiya Buildcon Limited has launched its indigenously developed 'MRO-TEK CORNUS Family 1G Switches' on September 25, 2025. The switches, built with over 65% local content, are designed and developed in-house, incorporating the Company's proprietary MRO-OS software. The devices are manufactured at the Electronics City, Bengaluru facility, from the SMT stage onwards. These devices have been certified by the Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) under the DoT’s MTCTE framework and recognized as Trusted Products under the Trusted Telecom Portal (NSCS). The launch is aimed at supporting critical sectors such as telecom operators, ISPs, industrial automation, railways (RDSO compliant), and public surveillance networks. The launch coincides with the anniversary of the Government’s Make in India initiative and is aligned with Umiya’s vision of technological self-reliance, innovation, and contribution to India’s digital infrastructure.
