Natco Pharma increases eGenesis investment to $24.7M total

NATCO Pharma Limited has decided to increase its investment in eGenesis, Inc. from the previously disclosed US$14.00 million to US$16.70 million through its wholly-owned subsidiaries. This updated investment, combined with an earlier US$8.00 million investment in 2024, brings NATCO's total investment in eGenesis to US$24.70 million. The investment is being made by NATCO Pharma (Canada) Inc. (US$13.70 million) and NATCO Pharma USA LLC (US$3 million) via convertible promissory notes. eGenesis, Inc. is a biotechnology company pioneering genome engineering for developing transplantable organs to address the global organ shortage, having recently achieved the world's first porcine kidney transplant in a living patient.
