Nelco Ltd Granted Additional VSAT Virtual Network Operator License by DoT

Nelco Ltd, a TATA Enterprise, has been granted an additional authorization, namely VSAT Virtual Network Operator (UL VNO - VSAT) at the national level, under the Company’s existing Unified License Virtual Network Operator License Agreement by the Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications, Government of India. This license will allow Nelco to operate as virtual network operators for VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) services, enabling new entrants like regional ISPs, system integrators to resell or distribute satellite-based VSAT services under their own brand without owning the satellite infrastructure themselves. The validity of the additional UL VSAT-VNO Services authorization will be co-terminus with the validity of the Unified License.
