Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd to Acquire Full Ownership in IBN Lokmat News Private Limited for Rs. 25 Crores

Network 18 Media & Investments Ltd announced that its Board of Directors approved the acquisition of 86,25,000 equity shares, 22,55,250 preference shares, and 1 debenture held by Lokmat Media Private Limited in IBN Lokmat News Private Limited for a total cash consideration of Rs. 25 crores. Post-acquisition, IBNL will become a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company. IBNL, a joint venture between the Company and the Lokmat Group, owns and operates the Marathi news channel, News18 Lokmat, which leads the Marathi news segment. The transaction is a related party transaction, conducted on arm's length basis, and is expected to be completed by end of October 2025. No governmental or regulatory approval is required for the acquisition.
