Nibe Limited has issued a strong rebuttal to an article published by Bharat Shakti on June 15, 2026, titled "Time to stop Mockery of Atmanirbharta in Defence." The company refutes allegations that its 'Suryastra' Rocket Launcher Systems are merely "screwdriver assembly" and that the fast-track procurement process was flawed. Nibe clarifies that its phased indigenization strategy, leveraging global partnerships, is part of a genuine commitment to Aatmanirbharta, supported by its new defence manufacturing complex. The company also confirmed that the ₹293 crore contract was secured under the Emergency Procurement framework and that the Suryastra system successfully passed rigorous technical trials in May 2026, achieving excellent precision metrics for both its 150 km and 300 km variants. Nibe Limited is issuing a formal notice to the publication demanding a correction.
