Paytm Deploys 800 Card Machines at Krishi Mandis in Madhya Pradesh, Boosting Digital Payments and Financial Inclusion

One 97 Communications Ltd., the owner of the Paytm brand, has announced the deployment of 800 Paytm EDC devices across 42 Krishi Mandis in Madhya Pradesh. This initiative aims to empower traders and farmers by facilitating smoother and more secure transactions, enhancing financial inclusivity, and improving operational efficiency within the local agricultural community. The introduction of these devices has significantly reduced the time required to process agricultural sales and streamlined operations, reducing queues and registration times. Paytm plans to deploy an additional 1,300 card machines across various Krishi Mandis over the next two years.
