Orchid Pharma Licenses Exblifep to Libra for Latin America
Orchid Pharma Ltd. has entered into a licensing and supply agreement with Laboratorio Libra S.A. for its antibiotic combination, Exblifep® (cefepime/enmetazobactam). This agreement grants Libra exclusive rights to register, import, and market Exblifep across nine Latin American markets, including Chile, Costa Rica, and Panama. Orchid will be responsible for manufacturing and supplying the finished dosage form. The partnership is projected to represent a commercial opportunity of approximately USD 80 million over the first 10 years, based on anticipated demand. Exblifep is indicated for complicated urinary tract infections and hospital-acquired bacterial pneumonia and has received approvals from the U.S. FDA and EMA.
