Organic Recycling Systems Ltd and CSIR-IIP Sign Technology Transfer Agreement for Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA) Technology
In a significant move towards advancing production of Compressed Biogas (CBG), Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) and the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research-Indian Institute of Petroleum (CSIR-IIP) have entered into an Agreement to license and implement CSIR-IIP’s indigenously developed Vacuum Swing Adsorption (VSA) Technology for upgrading raw biogas to CBG. The technology, designed to process 350 m3/h of raw biogas, converts it into pipeline-quality bio-methane that meets BIS 16087: 2016 specifications and can be further tailored to achieve higher specifications based on project and client requirements. The CBG produced through this technology can be used as a fuel for industrial applications and as an alternative to compressed natural gas (CNG) in vehicular applications.
