Patanjali Foods: Food Safety orders ban on Sunrich oil batch sale

Patanjali Foods Limited received an order from the Assistant Commissioner of Food Safety, Thiruvananthapuram, dated September 15, 2026. The order prohibits the sale of a specific batch of Sunrich Refined Sunflower Oil in the Thiruvananthapuram district. This action was taken due to the presence of Tertiary butylated hydroquinone (TBHQ) exceeding the maximum permissible level in the said batch. The company has stated that there is no material impact on its financial or operational activities, except for the value of the particular batch of Sunrich Refined Sunflower Oil.
