Fire Incident at PBM Polytex Ltd.'s Petlad Unit Causes Production Halt

On 17th August 2025, at approximately 10:40 AM, a fire incident occurred at PBM Polytex Ltd.'s Petlad manufacturing unit. The preliminary assessment indicates that the fire was caused due to an electrical fault, resulting in damage to some of the main electrical cables that supply power to the production machinery. This has led to a complete halt in production activities at the unit. Fortunately, no harm has occurred to any personnel, and there has been no damage to machinery, raw materials, finished goods, or the building structure. The fire was swiftly contained, and all safety protocols were effectively followed. A detailed evaluation is underway, with initial estimates suggesting that restoration of production may take approximately 7 to 10 days.
