Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd Acquires Chitradurga Bellary REZ Transmission Limited for Rs. 19.71 Crore

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) has acquired Chitradurga Bellary REZ Transmission Limited (CBRTL) for an aggregate value of about Rs. 19.71 Crore. The acquisition was made under Tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) route. CBRTL is engaged in the business of transmission of power, similar to POWERGRID's main line of business. The acquisition was completed on 21.03.2025. The consideration includes 10,000 equity shares at par at Rs. 10/- each along with assets and liabilities of CBRTL. The acquisition price is subject to adjustment as per the audited accounts of CBRTL as on the acquisition date. CBRTL was incorporated on 28.06.2024 and is yet to start commercial operation, as such no turnover has been recorded during last 3 years. CBRTL will be operating in India.
