Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd Acquires Davanagere Power Transmission Limited for Rs. 6.53 Crore

Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (POWERGRID) has acquired Davanagere Power Transmission Limited (DPTL) for an aggregate value of approximately Rs. 6.53 Crore. The acquisition was made on 24.09.2025 under the Tariff based competitive bidding (TBCB) route. DPTL, incorporated on 26.06.2025, is yet to start commercial operation and will be engaged in the business of transmission of power. The acquisition includes 50,000 equity shares at par at Rs. 10/- each along with assets and liabilities of DPTL. The acquisition price is subject to adjustment as per the audited accounts of DPTL as on the acquisition date. DPTL will be operating in India and the acquisition was completed as per the timelines furnished by the Bid Process Coordinator.
