
POWER GRID CORPORATION OF INDIA LTD. Declared as Successful Bidder Under TBCB for 8 GW Renewable Energy Zone
POWERGRID has been declared as the successful bidder under Tariff based competitive bidding to establish Inter-State transmission system for ‘Evacuation of Power from Potential Renewable Energy Zone in Khavda area of Gujarat under Phase-V (8 GW): Part A’ on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis. The project comprises establishment of 6000 MW, + 800kV HVDC terminals at KPS2 (Gujarat) & Nagpur (Maharashtra), + 800kV HVDC bipole line between KPS2 & Nagpur (~1200 km) traversing in the states of Gujarat and Maharashtra, LILO of Wardha — Raipur 765kV D/c line at Nagpur in Maharashtra, including supply & installation of various associated equipment/ interconnections at terminal stations. The Letter of Intent (LoI) has been received by POWERGRID on 24th October, 2024.
