Rajapalayam Mills Ltd. Receives Demand Order from GST for Tax Due on Belated Payment

Rajapalayam Mills Ltd. has received a Demand Order from the State Tax Officer (Inspection - 4), Office of the Joint Commissioner (ST) Intelligence Wing of Goods and Services Tax Department. The demand is for tax due on belated payment under Sec 74 of CFEditOFS, Tax due Act, 2017, for Corporate Guarantee, Tax for FY 2023-24. The amount demanded is Rs. 31.57 Crores. The company, based on its preliminary assessment, believes that it has a good case on merits and is confident of a favourable outcome at the appellate stage.
