Next-Gen GST Reforms to Boost EV Adoption: Revolt Motors' Market Leadership Strengthened
Revolt Motors, India's leading electric motorcycle brand, welcomes the Next-Gen GST Reforms announced by the GST Council under the leadership of the Hon’ble Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. The reforms, guided by the vision of the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, bring encouraging changes for the electric mobility sector, including rationalization of GST on major auto components from 28% to 18% and unchanged battery rates at 18%. These reforms aim to enhance affordability, strengthen supply chains, and simplify compliance across the EV ecosystem. The provision of 90% provisional refunds under the inverted duty structure will further strengthen industry liquidity. The reforms will also make essential goods, farming equipment, healthcare, education, and mobility more affordable while simplifying GST processes for businesses. Mrs. Anjali Rattan, Chairperson of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, praised the reforms, stating that they align perfectly with India’s vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat and will accelerate EV adoption across the country.
