Reliance Infrastructure Settles Dispute with CPL for Rs. 6,503.13 Crore

Reliance Infrastructure Limited has announced a full and final settlement of all outstanding disputes and claims against CPL for an amount of Rs. 6,503.13 crore. The agreement, which is not in the normal course of business, was entered into on November 11, 2024, pursuant to the Consent Terms under the Mediation Application agreement No. 181/2023. The dispute resulted in the assignment/transfer of assets/economic rights like the right to appoint directors, first right to share in assets, and the right to convert into a secured loan to the Company. The transaction does not fall under related party transactions and was done at arm's length. The settlement is expected to have a significant impact on the financial position of the listed entity.
