Roto Pumps Unveils Innovative Cake Pumps for Efficient Sludge Cake Pumping at IFAT 2024

Roto Pumps Ltd., a globally recognized Indian multi-national leader in Positive Displacement pumps, unveiled its latest product, the Roto Cake Pumps, at IFAT 2024. The new pumps offer a clean, odourless solution for handling highly viscous and non-flowable liquids with high dry solid contents ranging from 21% to 45%. The Roto Cake Pumps are designed with a spacious feed hopper, a separate compression zone, and an auger feed screw with enlarged diameter & extended pitch, making them ideal for conveying highly viscous media. The pumps can handle sludge cake with a flow rate of up to 100 cubic meters per hour while withstanding pressures of up to 24 bar. The initial focus of the product is on the international market, with units already supplied to the U.S. and discussions underway with clients in Germany. As environmental regulations become more stringent, especially regarding pollution control and waste management, the potential applications for these pumps are expected to expand domestically.
