RUCHI INFRASTRUCTURE LTD. Reports 30-35% Loss in Power Generation Due to Copper Cable Theft
RUCHI INFRASTRUCTURE LTD. has reported a loss of 30-35% in power generation during the quarter ended 31st December, 2024. This loss is primarily attributed to the theft of copper cables from windmills located in MP, including Ratlam district. The Company has taken measures to reduce the impact, but the global phenomenon of uncertainty of wind thrust and the ongoing theft have contributed to this loss. The approximate aggregate loss of revenue till January, 2025 is less than the minimum threshold of materiality, but the impact of theft is continuous and the aggregate loss may be material by the end of the current financial year. The Company is taking technical and administrative measures for restoration and the restoration cost is largely covered under O&M contracts and/or insurance policies.
