Ruchi Infrastructure's Subsidiary Faces Generator Failures in Wind-Mills, Resulting in 20% Production Loss
Ruchi Infrastructure Ltd. has informed about generator failures in two of seven wind-mills installed by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Ruchi Renewable Energy Private Limited, at Ghatia, Dist. Ujjain. The failures, which occurred during the first fortnight of May 2025, are expected to result in approximately 20% production loss during May and June 2025. The assessed value of loss in generation may not be material, but the cost of restoration, along with the loss, may be material in terms of Regulation 30 of SEBI (LODR) Regulations. The company is exploring cost-effective and timely restoration solutions, which may be completed in the second fortnight of June 2025. Part of the restoration cost is covered under the O&M agreement/Insurance Policy. The company also referred to its earlier disclosure about cable thefts incidents at certain windmills in Ratlam District, Madhya Pradesh, and stated that the restoration is under process and may be complete in the second quarter of the financial year. The rational assessment of loss in power generation due to such events has been Rs. 1.42 crore till 30th April 2025.
