
SAMIL Subsidiary Acquires Stake in Shenzhen Autocruis for $22.6M
Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd (SAMIL) announced that its indirect wholly-owned subsidiary, SMR Automotive (Langfang) Co., Ltd, will acquire a controlling stake in Shenzhen Autocruis Technology Co., Ltd. The acquisition will be executed through a primary capital increase of CNY 153.3 million (approximately USD 22.6 million) for a 64.76% equity stake. Post completion and a subsequent buy-back by the target, SMR Langfang's stake will increase to 67.78%. Shenzhen Autocruis specializes in automotive vision and camera-based systems. This move aims to expand SAMIL's product portfolio, strengthen in-house technology, and gain access to the Chinese automotive market. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals in China and is expected to close by Q3 FY2027.
