Selan Exploration Begins Production from Mukkamala Field, Exceeding 6 MMscfd Potential
Selan Exploration Technology Ltd. has announced the commencement of production from the Mukkamala Field in the Dangeru Contract Area, Krishna-Godavari (KG) Basin. This is Selan's first production outside the Cambay Basin. The field, which is 100% owned by Selan, was successfully workovered and hydraulically fractured in the Raghavapuram Shale reservoir. The initial tested flow rate is approximately 0.5 MMscfd (80 boepd) at 5000 psig wellhead pressure. The expected single well flow potential is over 6 MMscfd (1000 boepd). Gas sales have started through ONGC's Pasarlapudi processing facilities and GAIL's existing pipeline system. The Dangeru Contract Area spans ~140 sq. km. and includes two gas discoveries awarded under the Discovered Small Field Policy (DSF-II).
