Sharp India: Promoter Reclassification from Sharp Corp to Smart Services

Sharp India Ltd has announced the reclassification of its promoter. Sharp Corporation, Japan has ceased to be the promoter and has been categorized under the public category. This follows the acquisition of 1,94,58,000 equity shares, representing 75% of the total paid-up share capital, by Smart Services Private Limited (SSPL) from Sharp Corporation on April 14, 2026. The transaction triggered a mandatory open offer as per SEBI regulations. Consequently, SSPL is now categorized under Promoter & Promoter Group, and the company's board has been reconstituted. All regulatory requirements for this reclassification have been met.
