Shyam Metalics' SSPL adds 0.15 MTPA Colour Coated Sheets capacity

Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd's step-down subsidiary, Shyam Sel and Power Limited (SSPL), has successfully commissioned Phase II of its Cold Rolling Mill (CRM) Facility for Colour Coated Sheets at its Jamuria plant. Commercial production commenced on April 16, 2026. This expansion adds an incremental capacity of 0.15 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) for Colour Coated Sheets, bringing the total installed capacity for this facility to 0.40 MTPA. This includes the existing Phase I capacity of 0.25 MTPA and the newly added Phase II capacity. The enhancement is expected to significantly strengthen SSPL’s production capabilities and product offerings in the value-added steel segment, boosting its manufacturing competitiveness and market presence.
