Supreme Court dismisses Simbhaoli Sugars promoter/farmer appeal

Simbhaoli Sugars Limited announced that the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, vide its order dated August 7, 2026, has dismissed the appeals filed by Ms. Gursimran Kaur Mann (Promoter) and Farmers. These appeals were against the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) judgment dated July 13, 2026. The Supreme Court found no good grounds to interfere with the NCLAT's decision. The court granted liberty to the appellants to agitate specific issues, such as farmer claims, before the adjudicating authority. The company is currently under Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP) since July 11, 2024.
