SJVN Achieves 1 Billion Units Generation Milestone at 1,000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project

SJVN Limited has achieved a significant milestone with its 1000 MW Bikaner Solar Power Project by successfully generating 1 Billion Units (BU) of energy on March 20, 2026. The project is located in Bikaner district of Rajasthan and is being implemented through its wholly owned subsidiary, STIVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL). It has been developed under the Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU) Scheme — Phase II, Tranche III of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. The project achieved its Commercial Operation Date (COD) on December 24, 2025, and is expected to generate approximately 2,454.55 million units (MU) of electricity in its first year and about 56 billion units cumulatively over 25 years. The tariff for the project has been competitively fixed at X2.57 per unit, ensuring affordable green power. The generated electricity will be supplied to the states of Rajasthan, Jammu & Kashmir, and Uttarakhand.
