SJVN CMD Additional Charge Extended for Shri Bhupender Gupta

SJVN Ltd announced that the Ministry of Power has extended the additional charge of Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) to Shri Bhupender Gupta. This extension is effective from August 01, 2026, for a period of six months or until a regular incumbent assumes charge, whichever is earlier. Shri Gupta, who is also the CMD of NHPC Limited, holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and an MBA. He has extensive experience in hydropower project planning, erection, commissioning, and O&M, as well as project financing and management in various government-owned enterprises.
