SJVN Ltd Secures 2400 MW Darzo Lui PSP from Government of Mizoram

SJVN Ltd has received a Letter of Intent for allotment of the 2400 MW Darzo Lui Pumped Storage Project (PSP) from the Government of Mizoram. The project, estimated to cost Rs 13,947.50 crores, is proposed across Darzo Nallah, a tributary of Tuipui river. The project is an On-stream Closed Loop Type pumped storage project with eight units of 300 MW each. The annual energy generation with 95% plant availability is expected to be 4,993.20 MU, while the annual input energy required for pumping water to the upper reservoir is estimated to be 6,331.66 MU with 95% plant availability. The project is proposed to be completed within 72 months, with the agreement to be signed within three months between SJVN and the Government of Mizoram.
