SJVN Synchronizes First Unit of 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project with National Grid

SJVN Ltd, a joint venture of Govt. of India & Govt. of H.P., has successfully synchronized the first unit (660 MW) of the 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project (BTPP) with the National Grid. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and efforts of the project team and all stakeholders. The project, located at Chausa, District Buxar, Bihar, is equipped with state-of-the-art supercritical technology and will generate 9,828.72 Million Units of electricity annually. The project will enhance SJVN's total energy generation capacity, supply 85% of the generated power to the state of Bihar, and bring substantial economic and social benefits to Bihar and the Eastern region.
