SML Isuzu Ltd: Mahindra & Mahindra Acquires 58.96% Stake, Company to Change Name to SML Mahindra Limited

SML Isuzu Ltd has announced that Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has acquired 58.96% stake in the company. This acquisition is a result of the execution of a share purchase agreement between Sumitomo Corporation, M&M, and the company, and another agreement between Isuzu, M&M, and the company. The underlying transactions under both agreements have been consummated on 1st August, 2025. Consequently, M&M has acquired 85,33,053 equity shares representing 58.96% of the share capital of the company. The company has also announced its decision to change its name to SML Mahindra Limited, subject to approval from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Registrar of Companies.
